BACKGROUND:

The Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution dated March 21, 2000, authorizing the DOA to donate surplus property turned into the Department's Lost and Found to religious, charitable or educational nonprofit organizations. This resolution would update that list to include more of the current charitable organizations.

In accordance with NRS 244.1505, the County may grant funds or donate commodities, supplies, materials and equipment determined to have reached the end of their useful lives to various nonprofit organizations.

The resolution has been approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office.
