The initial Contract amount was a one-time cost of $263,596.10, Amendment No. 1 had no fiscal impact, Amendment No. 2 has no fiscal impact, for a total Contract amount of $263,596.10.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On July 21, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 605615-20 for a Lease and Operations Agreement to Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary & Bartenders Training Fund dba Culinary Academy of Las Vegas (NBE) in the amount of $263,596.10 for the operation of a restaurant to serve occupants and visitors at the Government Center.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:

•                     The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2023, and included the option to renew                      for 2, one-year periods. Amendment No. 1 added 2 one-year renewal options. There is 1 renewal option                      remaining.
•                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

Amendment No. 1 provided for 2 additional one-year renewal options.

Approval of Amendment No. 2 will provide for clarity in the charge back process for utility services and modify the afternoon service times and available menu.  The attached Amendment No. 2 document details the modifications involved.

Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary & Bartenders Training Fund dba Culinary Academy of Las Vegas currently holds a Clark County Business License.
