BACKGROUND:

The proposed ordinance will amend Title 13, Chapter 13.04 of the Clark County Code to adopt and amend the 2024 IFC and certain NFPA standards, update numerous sections to align with the 2024 IFC and NFPA amendments, repeal outdated provisions, and revise permit and fee structures for Clark County Fire Department Prevention Bureau permits.  Chapter 42 of the IFC has been deleted from the ordinance.

A Business Impact Statement (BIS) was prepared pursuant to NRS 237 and was noticed and advertised for public comment beginning on September 22, 2025.

Staff recommends that the ordinance be introduced and a public hearing be set for December 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the proposed ordinance as to form.
