BACKGROUND: 

The Moapa Valley Fire District is eligible to apply for the Volunteer Fire Assistant Grant as part of the Wildland Fire Protection Program (WFPP) entered between the Nevada Department of Forestry and the Moapa Valley Fire Protection District.  If approved, this Volunteer Fire Assistant Grant will provide essential wildland hose and personnel protection equipment (PPE) that will assist the Moapa Valley Fire District in responding to wildland fires.

Staff recommends the Board ratify the submission of the attached grant application.
