BACKGROUND: 

On May 16, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance to amend Clark County Code Title 6 by adding a new Chapter 6.145 governing the licensing and permitting of special events. The Board further directed staff to provide an update on special events after the ordinance had been in effect for six months. On July 1, 2023, Clark County Code Chapter 6.145 Special Events became effective.

This presentation will provide the Board with an update on the operation of the ordinance and special events occurring during the past six months.
