BACKGROUND: 

On December 5, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) discussed a potential resolution to establish a Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park Trail Advisory Council to assist in community service and outreach events in Laughlin.  The Board directed staff to bring back a resolution to establish the creation of a Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park Trail Advisory Council.

This resolution establishes the Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park Trail Advisory Council.  The bylaws establish the scope and rules of the council and designate the number of seats which will be available for appointment to the council.  After the adoption of the resolution and bylaws, the County can begin the application process to seek members for the Board to appoint to the council at a future meeting.

Staff recommends that the Board approve, adopt and authorize the Chair to sign the resolution and adopt the bylaws.
