BACKGROUND:

The Clark County District Attorney’s Office (CCDA) is responsible for representing the people of the State of Nevada in the prosecution of felonies and gross misdemeanors committed within Clark County, Nevada. During 2022, more than 61,256 felony and misdemeanor cases were submitted to the CCDA Criminal Division for prosecution by 50 local law enforcement agencies. The project will replace the outdated system with a modern case management system. The office will also improve its ability to accurately collect data regarding the criminal trends at a community level. This will permit the development of a statistically supported application of resources targeting community specific issues, crime reduction, and overall case load management.

Staff requests that the Board ratify the submission of the grant application and accept any funds awarded.
