BACKGROUND:
The Clark County Board of Fire Code Appeals (CCBFCA) is a nine-member board appointed by the Clark County Board of Commissioners to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the Fire Code Official relative to the application and interpretation of the Clark County's fire code. Pursuant to County Code, Section 13.04.070, sub-section 108, the CCBFCA is required to be comprised of eight members representing the various fire-safety organizations and the Fire Chief of the Clark County Fire Department.

FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER - Jim P. Begley
FIRE ALARM CONTRACTOR - Patrick M. Burke
CIVIL ENGINEER - Sam D. Palmer
LAYPERSON - Amanda Moss & Joseph Triolo
SPECIALIST IN FIRE SAFETY - Joseph W. Noble
SPECIALIST IN HAZARDOUS MATERIAL - Ty L. Salazar
EXHIBIT AND TRADE INDUSTRY REPRESENTIVE - Katherine A. Springstead
FIRE SPRINKLER CONTRACTOR - Corey Wallace & Lee Marx
Following a careful review of the applications attached hereto, staff recommends reappointing three members - Patrick M. Burke, Katherine A. Springstead and Corey Wallace; and appointing Jim P. Begley, Amanda Moss, Joseph W. Noble, Sam Palmer, and Ty L. Salazar to the CCBCFCA for four-year terms beginning July 1, 2024.
