BACKGROUND: 

Commercial Center sits at 953 East Sahara Ave just west of Maryland Pkwy.  The 40 +/- acre shopping center is roughly 60 years old with infrastructure that has surpassed its useful life.  Currently, there are attempts to reenergize Commercial Center with new restaurants and shops, but aging infrastructure is creating barriers for new investment. 

On April 17, 2024, the Redevelopment Agency Board approved an update to the Grease Trap Grant incentive program that provides financial assistance to property owners and businesses within Commercial Center for the installation of grease traps/inceptors needed for the operation of restaurant and bar type establishments.  This grant agreement includes updates to reflect the changes in the program.
