BACKGROUND: 

Legal Aid of Southern Nevada is non-profit organizations that provides free legal services to low-income residents of Clark County, including criminal record sealing services through the Clean Slate Legal Assistance Project.  The Clean Slate Legal Assistance Project provides stability for individuals and families, which helps overall community stability.

On August 2, 2022, the Board approved a financial assistance agreement to Legal Aid of Southern Nevada for $500,000 to provide services under the Clean Slate Legal Assistance Project for a period of two years.

This amendment will increase the allocation of marijuana license fee revenue by $500,000 (for a total of up to $1,000,000) and will extend the term of this agreement to August 31, 2026.
