BACKGROUND:

The District maintains an ongoing annual need to procure various Information Technology (IT) hardware, software and related services to support and secure its business networks and operational requirements. The District currently maintains a standardized inventory of IT equipment, focused on core network infrastructure (switches, routers, and access points), network security equipment and software (firewalls, intrusion prevention and detection systems, security software, network monitoring and equipment), client endpoint hardware products (personal computers, laptops, tablets and printers), miscellaneous hardware (peripherals, scanners, monitors and displays) and various commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions. In addition, the District leverages hardware and software maintenance agreements, along with other related IT services.

On July 2, 2024, the Omnia Partners Cooperative/City of Mesa, AZ and its Authorized Body awarded Agreement No. 2024056-02 for Information Technology Solutions, Products and Services to CDW Government LLC. Leveraging the Omnia Partners Cooperative/City of Mesa, AZ agreement enables cost reduction through volume discounts, while fulfilling the District's procurement needs for various IT equipment and related services.

Staff recommends that the Board approve and authorize the General Manager to utilize the Omnia Partners Cooperative/City of Mesa, AZ Agreement No. 2024056-02 for Technology Solutions, Products and Services and issue purchase orders to CDW Government LLC, for the procurement of various IT equipment, products and services.
