BACKGROUND: 

Approval by the Board of County Commissioners is needed to initiate the acquisition of rights-of-way from the Bureau of Land Management for construction of roadway, flood control, trails, and other public projects. Approval of this item will authorize the Director of the Clark County Department of Public Works or his designee to sign all documents related to these acquisitions and any necessary land use actions that may be required upon federal lands in connection with Clark County Public Works projects outlined in the Clark County Fiscal Year 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program, which will serve to expedite project development.
