BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is designated as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Clark County. In this role, the RTC is required to follow federal regulations to govern MPOs. A Metropolitan Planning Interlocal Agreement is required by CFR § 450.314 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

The agreement identifies the roles and responsibilities of RTC, the County, and the Cities.

RTC has prepared the interlocal agreement for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the interlocal agreement at its meeting on December 12, 2024.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal agreement as to form.
