BACKGROUND:

This Contract will provide professional architectural and engineering professional services to renovate and build facility additions based on a previously developed conceptual design at the Aviation Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Facility (ARFF) and the Airside Operations Building.

The existing ARFF station was constructed in 1982 and is in need of improvements to effectively meet current and future airport needs. Updates are also required to comply with the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) latest design criteria for airfield safety and support. Additionally, the Airside Operations Building was constructed in 1999 and is in need of modernization and expansion to keep pace with the airport's large increases in passenger volumes and aircraft throughput.

Staff recommends that Company provide design services associated with this Project. The firm has design experience and expertise in building additions and remodels for these types of critical facilities.

In accordance with NRS 332.115(1)(b), the services to be performed are professional in nature and therefore exempt from competitive bidding requirements.

This Contract has been reviewed and approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office. Company currently holds a Clark County Business License
