BACKGROUND:
The Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) has a new Concession Lease Agreement (Agreement) with Smarte Carte, Inc. (Company), providing luggage carts for Harry Reid International Airport and the Rent-A-Car Center (RACC). The important provisions of this Agreement are as follows: - Five year Term, with one additional five year option. - Company will pay rent of 20% of gross revenue from cart rentals - Cart rental rate to passengers will be $7/cart for first 2 years, then $8/cart thereafter for carts at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, Pre-Security areas and at the RACC - DOA will pay $2 per cart in the Federal Inspection Station (FIS) Areas at Terminal 3, not to exceed $300,000 annually.This Agreement has been approved by the District Attorney's Office. Company currently holds a Clark County Business License.
