BACKGROUND:

On June 20, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved a list of community centers as potential sites for the Public Agency Charging Program which is a component of Nevada Power Company dba NV Energy’s (NVE) Economic Recovery Transportation Electrification Plan (ERTEP) which provides electric vehicle charging infrastructure to government agencies to service the public. The following sites were previously approved by the Board:

1.
                     Pearson Community Center
2.
                     Parkdale Community Center
3.
                     Winchester Community Center
4.
                     Laughlin Community Resource Center

This Site Host Agreement (Agreement) outlines the responsibilities of Clark County (County) and NVE in regards to funding, construction, maintenance, repair and site selection and layout.  The Agreement also provides for future sites to be selected upon mutual agreement and available funding.

NVE is in possession of grant funding that expires December 2024.  All sites will be constructed prior to the expiration of the funds and all construction, maintenance and repair is the responsibility of NVE.  County shall provide rights to NVE to complete those responsibilities.
