BACKGROUND:

On February 10, 2022, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) approved Interlocal Contract No. 1350 for the FAST (Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation) Traffic Signal System Software Evaluation project to improve Traffic Signal Software Evaluation within jurisdictions of Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, City of Henderson, City of Boulder City, and City of Mesquite. The Board of County Commissioners approved this contract on March 1, 2022.

Supplemental No. 6 to Interlocal Contract No. 1350 will increase the contract amount. The Central Traffic Signal System project is a critical component of the region's traffic management program. The project will replace and modernize the existing system to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency of traffic operations. This funding will be used for the purchase and deployment of the Central Traffic Signal System. The time of performance remains effective to June 30, 2027, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC has prepared the sixth supplemental contract for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the sixth supplemental contract at its meeting on January 8, 2026.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the sixth supplemental contract as to form.
