Additional Comments:

The interlocal agreement provides for up to $9,767,298.15 to be paid by Clark County Water Reclamation District to Clark County for the installation of sanitary sewer improvements as part of the Clark County Warm Springs Road Improvements from Decatur Boulevard to Dean Martin Drive project.

BACKGROUND:

The Clark County Water Reclamation District (CCWRD) has requested Clark County design and build sanitary sewer improvements along Warm Springs Road. CCWRD will own and maintain these sanitary sewer improvements. CCWRD's sewer facilities are to be installed within a portion of the County's roadway resurfacing project known as Warm Springs Road Improvements from Decatur Boulevard to Dean Martin Drive (Project No. PW.R046LFT).

With both improvements requiring pavement restoration, the fiscal and construction effects of the projects can be minimized by including the CCWRD's improvements with the County's project.  CCWRD will pay to the County an amount not to exceed $9,767,298.15, which is the estimated cost of the CCWRD sewer facilities.  The County will construct the sewer facilities with its aforementioned Warm Springs Road Improvements from Decatur Boulevard to Dean Martin Drive project.

The attached interlocal agreement further details the responsibilities of both the County and CCWRD.

The County and CCWRD's legal counsels have reviewed and approved the interlocal agreement as to form.
