The initial Contract amount was $13,427,826.75. Amendment No. 1 will increase the Contract amount by $2,685,565.35, for a new total Contract amount of $16,113,392.10, should all renewal options be exercised, with increased user requirements included. |
BACKGROUND:
On June 20, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of RFQ No. 604376-17 to Apple Grove Treatment Center, LLC dba Apple Grove Foster Care Agency (NBE), Bamboo Sunrise, LLC (NBE), Eagle Quest (NBE) and Specialized Alternative for Families and Youth of Nevada, Inc. (NBE) in the amount of $13,427,826.75 should all renewals be exercised.
St Jude's for Children - Nevada Region, Inc., dba St Jude's Ranch and Help of Southern Nevada were qualified and awarded after the original award and in accordance with the terms of the original Board award agenda.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contracts:
• The term of the Contracts were from date of award through June 30, 2018 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There are no renewal options remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 25% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contracts with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide a 12-month extension of the Contract term through June 30, 2023 on a month to month basis. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
Apple Grove Treatment Center, LLC dba Apple Grove Foster Care Agency, Bamboo Sunrise, LLC, Eagle Quest, Specialized Alternative for Families and Youth of Nevada, Inc., St Jude's for Children - Nevada Region, Inc., dba St Jude's Ranch for Children and Help of Southern Nevada currently hold Clark County Business Licenses.
