BACKGROUND:
This Contract will utilize AB309 funding along with the State of Nevada's AB525/SB341 funds to bring to fruition the CALV Forward 2024 project, which allows for a 15,500 square foot expansion coupled with a 15,000 square foot renovation of the existing campus, which will double the training capacity from 1,100 to approximately 2,200 students annually with Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary Bartenders and Training Fund dba Culinary Academy of Las Vegas (NBE).
A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved as this project was a part of the Clark County Workforce Economic Stability Training Program approved by the Board on 11/19/2019, Item 61.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract is from date of award through June 30, 2026.
• Includes the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 332.115.1(b), the competitive bidding process is not required as the services to be performed are professional in nature.
Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary Bartenders and Training Fund dba Culinary Academy of Las Vegas currently holds a Clark County Business License.
