BACKGROUND:

On November 15, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved a professional engineering services contract with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. for engineering services for design of the Spring Mountain Road between Rainbow Boulevard and Aldebaran Avenue project.

Supplemental No. 2 to the professional services contract will provide additional funds to perform design engineering services to analyze the impacts of modifying the existing roadway configuration to eliminate one westbound lane between Rainbow Boulevard and Aldebaran Avenue, separate the Spring Mountain Road from Rainbow Boulevard to Aldebaran Avenue project into two separate construction packages and provide a complete construction package for the Phase 2 segment from Rainbow Boulevard to Decatur Boulevard, and provide an expedited final design for a pedestrian crossing signal between Arville Street and Wynn Road as Phase 1 of the project. Supplemental No. 2 also extends the time of performance to December 31, 2028, unless further extensions are granted.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the second supplemental contract as to form.
