BACKGROUND:
On April 22, 2025, in accordance with the NRS 332 Resolution approved by the Board of County Commissioners (Board), the Department of Finance, Purchasing and Contracts Division approved the utilization of State of Nevada, Nevada State Purchasing of the Department of Administration Contract No. 99SWC-NV25-24891, awarded to West Publishing Corporation DBA West, a Thomson Reuters Business (LBE), for CBE No. 607573-25 in the amount not to exceed $1,000,000 subject to each department's approved budgeted appropriations, for Legal Research Services.
This Competitive Bidding Exception provides access to legal information from sources such as the Federal Courts of Appeal, State of Courts of Appeal, American Legal Reports, and other on-line databases.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract being utilized is from March 28, 2025, through March 31, 2029.
• Clark County is not under exclusive contract with West Publishing Corporation DBA West, a Thomson Reuters Business and therefore, can cease purchasing product / services at any time.
This approval will provide for additional funds to allow more departments throughout the County to have access to legal research.
West Publishing Corporation dba West, a Thomson Reuter Business currently holds a Clark County Vendor Registration.
