BACKGROUND: 

Mr. Santana filed a claim against the District in relation to an automobile accident involving a District vehicle occurring on August 28, 2019 at or near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Carson Avenue. Mr. Santana alleges the District to be at fault for various injuries and corresponding medical treatment. Negotiations have resulted in Mr. Santana agreeing to accept $100,000 in full and final settlement of the claim, in recognition of the liability cap set forth in NRS 41.035, to avoid any further costs and legal expenses of possible litigation in this matter. The settlement agreement memorializes the settlement as a full and final resolution of the claim.
