The general obligation (limited tax) hospital improvement bonds (the Series 2027 Bonds) will be additionally secured by gross pledged revenues of the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada.

 

BACKGROUND: 

The new money 2026 Hospital Improvement Bonds Request Resolution formally requests the County to issue bonds on behalf and in the name of the County for the benefit of the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (the “Hospital”).  The proceeds of the proposed bonds will provide the Hospital, in the maximum principal amount of $45,770,000, with proceeds for projects related to the enlargement, repair, reconstruction and improvement of the Hospital.  The 2026 Hospital Improvement Bonds Request Resolution is required pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes 450.280 before the County issues bonds for this purpose.
