BACKGROUND:

In December 2001, Clark County provided $100,000 in State of Nevada Low Income Housing Trust Funds (LIHTF) to Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada to assist with the purchase and rehabilitation of 16 units of affordable housing located at 324 9th Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101.

CCSN is requesting to sell the property, retain the $100,000 in LIHTF funds and reinvest those funds into a 50+ unit affordable housing development currently in the planning phase. The new units would be permanent supportive housing for low income households.

The District Attorney has reviewed the Amendment as to form.
