Application by Clark County entitled the Consortium to receive from HUD $8,864,310 in Federal FY2021 HOME-ARP funds for development, an additional $3,693,463 in Federal FY2021 HOME-ARP funds for services, and $2,216,077 for administration and planning is available for allocation. |
BACKGROUND:
As the lead agency for the Clark County "Urban County" HOME Consortium, Clark County administers federal HOME-ARP funds from HUD. The Board of County Commissioners (Board) has final authority over the allocation of these monies, subject to the Clark County meeting federal requirements. The attached Agenda Item Development Report (AIDR No. 3726) includes the proposed uses of these funds, along with additional details. The recommendations for projects and services to be funded with HOME-ARP dollars incorporate the review of staff and recommendations of Clark County's Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC). This proposal includes a reservation of the pro-rata share of the HOME-ARP monies for the City of North Las Vegas, Clark County's Consortium partner. One (1) new, housing development project, Tropicana Trails, is proposed for funding, along with funding for the provision of services to HUD Qualifying Populations residing at that project.
