BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Residential Streets Pavement Reconstruction No. 106 project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2025.

Interlocal Contract No. 3217 provides funds for construction of the subject project. The work to be performed under this contract consists of excavating existing pavement material, repairing base failures as needed by replacing with Type II aggregate and re-compacting the subgrade materials, and placing new asphalt concrete pavement on various residential streets within Clark County. In addition, this contract consists of widening existing roadway pavement in various residential rural preservation areas. The design for the project was funded by Clark County. The design is at least 90 percent complete, all necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained, and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction. The time of performance is effective until June 30, 2030, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC has prepared Interlocal Contract No. 3217 for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on May 22, 2025.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
