BACKGROUND:

On August 12, 2021, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) and Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, City of Henderson, City of Boulder City, and City of Mesquite (collectively "Entities") entered into Interlocal Contract No. 1301 for the Backup Power and Cooling System for Communication Hubs project (Clark County Public Works No. PW.R257AFT), to develop plans for backup power and cooling requirements at the Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation (FAST) communication hubs within the Entities' jurisdictions.  The Board of County Commissioners approved this contract on October 5, 2021.

The Board previously approved one supplemental to Interlocal Contract No. 1301 to provide additional funds to develop standard specifications for cabinet and mini-hut prefabricated structures, and replace various existing cabinet and mini-hut structures.

Supplemental No. 2  to Interlocal Contract 1301 decreases total funds for the project due to a change in scope.

RTC approved the second supplemental contract at its meeting on December 14, 2023.

Each of the Entities is scheduled to approve the second supplemental contract at their respective Board/Council meetings.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the second supplemental contract as to form.
