BACKGROUND: 

In response to Southern Nevada's unprecedented crisis in housing affordability, in 2022 the Board of County Commissioners created the Community Housing Fund (CHF) and the Welcome Home programs.  Since then, these new programs have supported the development of approximately 5,000 housing units across the Las Vegas Valley, including permanent supportive housing, workforce housing, and single-family homes.  This presentation will provide updated data on the housing needs in Clark County, the status of new and existing County programs, and a projection of outcomes over the next decade.  The presentation will also include information from the Nevada Housing Division and the Southern Nevada Housing Authority about their programs, and the collective impact of these programs in Southern Nevada through 2035.
