Nuisance Property and Building Abatement Services

Additional Comments:

The total Contract award was estimated in the amount of $542,000 annually. For current term, the total Contract amount used is $521,000. The additional funding increase of $125,000 will bring the total Contract amount for current term to $646,000 and total contract amount to $3,268,600 should all renewal options be exercised, with increased user requirements included.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On June 21, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of SOQ No. 606161-22 to 12 qualified firms by respective lots in the amount of $542,000 annually for nuisance property and building abatement services

This Contract is for nuisance property and building abatement with 12 qualified firms.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the qualification approval:
                     The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2023 and included the option to renew                      for 4, one-year periods. There are 2 options remaining.
                     Included the option to increase the award amount up to 20% based on possible increased user                      requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

This approval will provide for the replenishment of funding used to demolish a dilapidated mobile home park expeditiously during current Contract term.

All firms on the Qualified List and their listed subcontractors currently hold a Clark County Business License.
