BACKGROUND:
On August 3, 2016, University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMCSN) designated HealthTrust Purchasing Group (HPG) as its Group Purchasing Organization. This request is to approve the Commitment Agreements (Agreements) with Cardinal Health 108, 110 & 112, LLC (collectively called Cardinal Health) for pharmaceutical products distribution services. These Agreements are required under HPG in order to obtain contract pricing and allocation of products to ensure that UMCSN maintains adequate pharmaceutical supplies for its patients.
The Agreements will commence on September 1, 2021 and continue through August 31, 2026. The estimated annual spend is $60,000,000.
These Agreements are being entered into pursuant to HPG contracts 24561 & 5956. HPG is a Group Purchasing Organization of which UMCSN is a member. This request is in compliance with NRS 450.525 and NRS 450.530; attached is the bid summary sheet and a sworn statement from an HPG executive verifying that the pricing was obtained through a competitive bid process.
UMCSN’s Pharmacy Services Director has reviewed and recommends approval of these Agreements. These Agreements have been approved as to form by UMCSN’s Office of General Counsel.
Cardinal Health 108, 110 & 112, LLC are in the process of acquiring a Clark County business license.
These Agreements were reviewed by the Governing Board at their July 28, 2021 meeting and recommended for approval by the Board of Hospital Trustees.
