BACKGROUND:
On December 19, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional service providers for the period from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025. NOVA Geotechnical & Inspection Services, LLC dba Universal Engineering Sciences was selected from the pre-qualification list, [Services] Construction Management - Quality Assurance (Materials Testing and Inspection), to provide quality assurance or independent assurance testing and inspection on various Clark County Department of Public Works (CCPW) projects, as needed.
Due to CCPW's present and anticipated project workload and its limited testing resources, the services of an outside consultant for independent quality assurance testing are needed. County staff negotiated the attached professional services contract with NOVA Geotechnical & Inspection Services, LLC dba Universal Engineering Sciences. The contract describes services to be provided and the stipulated terms. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2026, unless time extensions are granted. NOVA Geotechnical & Inspection Services, LLC dba Universal Engineering Sciences currently holds a Clark County Business License.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
