BACKGROUND: 

The Mount Charleston Fire Protection District firefighter employees are covered under a collective bargaining agreement with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 4621, but the Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief are not part a collective bargaining unit as management employees. The adoption of Clark County's Management Plan would allow the positions of Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief to be covered under the County's Management Plan.
