BACKGROUND:

On May 5, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved an allocation of $476,193 in FY 2020-2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department for the design and renovation of the Parkdale Park and Pool Renovation, located at Parkdale Park at 3200 Ferndale Street in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Funds will be used to remove and replace the existing basketball court and the installation of a new concrete court, basketball goals, and new footings, posts and goals. The pool building construction will convert the storage area to a first aid room, cashier area and observation area. It will also include installation of a new steel pool gate section at the lifeguard building and connect to the existing pool perimeter fencing. This includes new self-closing/latching walk gates, core drilling deck for new fence post footings and patching the deck as needed. Installation of an additional sidewalk at new walk gate entrance will be added for better accessibility.

The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved this MOU as to form.
