BACKGROUND:

On February 11, 2016, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) approved Interlocal Contract No. 883 for the Desert Inn Road between Nellis Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard project (No. PW.R054G16) on its annual Capital Improvement Program from Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax Funds.

On March 1, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners approved Interlocal Contract No. 883 for engineering, right-of-way, and construction for the project.  Three supplemental contracts were approved which revised the scope of the project from Desert Inn Road, Cabana Drive to Hollywood Boulevard to Desert Inn Road, Nellis Boulevard to Hollywood Boulevard; increased total funds and acknowledged the City of Las Vegas' request that the County include the construction of its portion of Desert Inn Road into the scope of work and extended the contract term for the project.

The attached Supplemental No. 4 to Interlocal Contract No. 883 changes the funding account for this project.  Funds for the project are now budgeted in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2022.  The current total contract value is $24,600,000 for this project

This project is identified on RTC's Capital Improvement Program.  RTC approved the fourth supplemental contract at its meeting on February 10, 2022.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the fourth supplemental contract as to form.
