BACKGROUND:
Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) section 501.260 establishes a County Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife consisting of five or seven members. The Clark County Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife (CCABMW) of seven members serves in an advisory capacity to the Nevada State Board of Wildlife Commissioners by soliciting and evaluating local opinion on matters relating to the management of wildlife in Clark County and the State of Nevada. Pursuant to NRS sections 501.265(2), the Board of County Commissioners appoints qualified persons to the CCABMW who are residents of the county, and who represents the interests of the public of Clark County.
Due to the expiration of Therese Campbell term on November 14, 2022, there is one vacancy on the CCABMW for a person who: (1) is a resident of Clark County; and (2) who represents the interests of the public of Clark County. Three qualified persons applied for the opening after it was advertised and posted on the County website from November 29, 2022, to December 29, 2022.
