BACKGROUND:
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Tropicana Avenue between Durango Drive and Tropicana Avenue project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2025.
Interlocal Contract No. 3189 provides funds for roadway resurfacing and related improvements on Tropicana Avenue between Durango Drive and Jones Boulevard. Improvements include pavement rehabilitation or reconstruction, curb and gutter reconstruction, sidewalk, sidewalk ramps, median construction, utility adjustments, light-emitting diodes (LED) luminaire replacement, Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) conduit, signs, traffic control devices, traffic signal modifications, pavement markings, and other appurtenances as necessary to construct a complete and functional roadway. All necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained, and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.
RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on October 10, 2024.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
