BACKGROUND: 

In order to preserve access to practitioner services for needy individuals in the State of Nevada at non state governmentally owned hospitals, and to recognize the higher costs incurred by teaching programs when providing said services, the State of Nevada, Nevada Health Authority (NVHA) shall provide Supplemental Payments to non-state, governmental owned or operated teaching hospitals. This interlocal contract supports the State's supplemental Practitioner UPL program for practitioners who are contributing to medical education within University Medical Center (UMC) and is effective from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2030.
