BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to NRS 338.159, Clark County received a proposal from Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. (LVGP) for a public-private partnership for initial infrastructure of the circuit, which is approximately 3.8 miles of roadway mostly consisting of public roadway. Staff recommends approval of the resolution finding that the proposal submitted by LVGP to partner in the initial infrastructure of the circuit serves a public purpose. Upon a finding by the Board of County Commissioners that the circuit serves a public purpose, the County Manager or his designee will proceed with negotiating a public-private partnership agreement with Formula One in accordance with NRS 338.1592, which will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for its consideration at a subsequent public meeting.
