BACKGROUND:
On January 7, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional service providers for the period January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2020. On December 1, 2020, the Board approved a one-year extension of this list through December 31, 2021. Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. (Corporation) was selected from the pre-qualification list, [Service] Highway Engineering - Urban Arterial Design, to provide design engineering services for the Sandhill Road between Sunset Road and Desert Inn Road, Spencer Street between Russell Road and Twain Avenue, and Carey Avenue between Pecos Road and Nellis Boulevard project.
County staff negotiated the attached professional engineering services contract with Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. for this project. The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms. The time of performance is effective to April 30, 2024, unless time extensions are granted. Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
