BACKGROUND:

Clark County declared an emergency ahead of Tropical Storm Hilary landing in the region and this proved to be effective as the right partners were in place to respond to the flooding devastation affecting Mt. Charleston, specifically Kyle and Lee Canyons. Through Clark County's emergency management team, an emergency response structure was put in place with partner agencies to immediately help residents and to start the repair work for infrastructure. While the work remains ongoing, the emergency declaration has terminated, and Clark County has transitioned to a recovery response.
