The total Contract awards were in the amount not to exceed $5,700,000 aggregately. To date, the total Contract amounts used are $5,340,909.26. The additional funding increase of not to exceed $900,000 aggregately will bring the total Contract amounts to not to exceed $6,600,000 aggregately. |
BACKGROUND:
On November 21, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 606719-23 to AppleOne, Inc. (WBE) and My Next Career Path Staffing, LLC dba MNCP Staffing (SBE) in the amount of not to exceed $2,000,000 aggregately for temporary employment services for 2024 Elections. A funding increase was approved on June 4, 2024 in the amount not to exceed $3,700,000 aggregately that brought the total Contract amounts to not to exceed $5,700,000 aggregately.
A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved because AppleOne, Inc. and My Next Career Path Staffing, LLC dba MNCP Staffing have worked on previous elections and can meet the County's expectations in providing qualified and reliable staff.
A revised Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved because the demand of three election cycles in one calendar year has exceeded estimated expectations in both operational needs and the cost of workers. The Election Department anticipates an increase in operational demand during the Presidential Election in comparison to the Presidential Preference Primary Election and Primary Election.
These Contracts are for temporary employment services for 2024 Elections with AppleOne, Inc. and My Next Career Path Staffing, LLC dba MNCP Staffing.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contracts:
• The term of the Contracts were from date of award through December 31, 2024 and included a 3-month extension.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
This approval will provide continuation in temporary staffing services to support the 2024 elections.
AppleOne, Inc. and My Next Career Path Staffing, LLC dba MNCP Staffing currently hold a Clark County Business License.
