BACKGROUND:
The Project scope includes removal and replacement of fireproofing, walls and ceilings to abate existing asbestos-containing fireproofing material. The scope also includes installation of new lighting.
Bids were received and publicly opened on July 27, 2021:

Due to operational impacts related to COVID-19, the phasing constraints for this Project were significantly revised. Therefore, the Project phasing warrants reevaluation. In an effort to preserve the efficiency of the Project, and in the best interest of the traveling public, staff recommends rejection of all bids. This recommendation for rejection is in accordance with NRS 338.143(5).
Upon approval of this rejection, the Department of Aviation anticipates re-advertising and rebidding this Project once the aforementioned adjustments are made.
