BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Jones Boulevard between Tropicana Avenue and Sahara Avenue project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2026.

Interlocal Contract No. 3229 provides funds for design of the subject project to include pavement rehabilitation, curb and gutter, sidewalk, traffic signage and striping, intelligent transportation system (ITS) infrastructure, utility adjustment and relocation, traffic signal modifications, street lighting, and storm drain facilities. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2030, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC has prepared Interlocal Contract No. 3229 for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on September 11, 2025.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
