BACKGROUND:

On April 9, 2026, the Office of Sports and Special Events received an application from TAO Group Intermediate Holdings LLC to hold a special event on May 16, 2026, at Caesar's Palace, located at 3570 South Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

The special event is in celebration of the Omnia Day Club grand opening and will require closure of sidewalks outside of Caesar's Palace on Las Vegas Boulevard with pedestrian and vehicle controls.

Under Clark County Code 2.70.050(E), an applicant for a Special Event Preliminary Approval may be required to appear before the Board for a public hearing under certain conditions.  A public hearing is required for this application because the event will require a sidewalk closure on the Las Vegas Boulevard and/or will have significant impact to pedestrian travel and on the roadways adjacent to Las Vegas Boulevard.  This Special Event also has the potential to cause disorder, disturbances, excessive loitering, nuisances at or near Las Vegas Boulevard.

Staff recommend that the Board consider whether to approve or deny the application, and if approved, whether any conditions should apply.
