The initial Contract amount was $9,644,172. Amendment No. 1 had no fiscal impact. Amendment No. 2 increased the Contract amount of $4,000,000. Amendment No. 3 increased the Contract amount by $2,809,202.50. Amendment No. 4 will increase the Contract amount by $2,809,202.50 for a new total Contract amount of $19,262,577, should all renewal options be exercised. |
BACKGROUND:
On June 27, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 604511-17 for Annual Requirements Contract for Office Supplies to Staples Business Advantage dba Staples Contract & Commercial LLC (LBE) in the amount of $9,644,172 for Countywide office supplies.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2019 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There are 0 renewal options remaining. • Included the option to increase the award amount up to 25% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations. • Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Amendment No. 1 added a drastic market condition escalation clause.
Amendment No. 2 increased the estimated annual Contract amount.
Amendment No. 3 extended the Contract term through June 30, 2024.
Approval of Amendment No. 4 will extend the Contract term through June 30, 2025. The attached Amendment No. 4 document details the modifications and costs involved.
The Business License Department has determined that a Clark County Business License is not required for this effort.
