BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to NRS. 253.230, the costs of the services provided by the Public Guardian's Office may be charged to the estate of the protected person upon the court's determination of the protected person's financial ability to pay such costs. The Public Guardian is required under the provisions of NRS 159 to file annual accountings of the protected person's estate with the court, at which time the expenses incurred in providing services are presented for review and approval of the court. The FY27 rates are based upon the average direct and indirect costs incurred in providing services.
