BACKGROUND: 

This Agreement is for strangulation medical examinations of victims of domestic violence battery by strangulation. NRS 217.405 requires the County to pay any costs incurred by a hospital for a strangulation forensic medical examination of a victim of domestic violence battery by strangulation.
                     
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Agreement:
                     The term of the Agreement is from date of award for examinations conducted on or after July 1, 2024                       through January 31, 2027, and includes the option to renew for 1, one-year period.
                     Includes the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Agreement                      with advanced written notice.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 277.180. The parties are authorized to enter into interlocal contracts to perform governmental functions and activities.
