BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Legacy Trail Parking Lot at Charleston Boulevard and Sky Vista Drive project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Fund for Fiscal Year 2025.

Interlocal Contract No. 3176 provides funds for construction of the Legacy Trail Parking Lot, and traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Sky Vista Drive. The project consists of improvements including plantmix bituminous surface, curb and gutter, sidewalk, median, streetlights, traffic signal, landscaping, utility adjustments, water and sewer laterals, pavement markings, and signing. The work will also consist of miscellaneous removal and disposal, and removal and salvage/replacement of designated items, traffic control, dust control, quality control, and other related items of work. All necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained, and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on August 8, 2024.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
