The total Contract award is estimated in the amount of $35,000,000 should all renewal options be exercised.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On April 5, 2022, State of Minnesota awarded Sourcewell Contract No. 113021-OKC-1 Firefighting Apparatus to Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. (LBE) distributed through its exclusive distributor in Nevada, Hughes Fire Equipment, Inc. This approval provides for the purchase of firefighting apparatus for Fire Department.

The following are the pertinent provisions of this approval:
                     The term of the Contract being utilized is from April 5, 2022 through February 10, 2026 and includes the                      option to renew for 1, one-year period.
                     Clark County is not under exclusive contract with Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. and therefore, can cease                      purchasing products at any time.

This approval is in accordance with NRS 332.195.1, a governing body or its authorized representative may enter into a contract pursuant to a soliciation by (b) the State of Nevada or another state with the authorization of the contracting vendor.

The Business License Department has determined that a Clark County Business License is not required for this effort.
